Potomac Overlook to Host 2010 Kickoff Event

Fairfax, VA (January 19, 2010) – Potomac Overlook Regional Park will start a new year of great programs and activities with its annual kick off event, “Simple Pleasures are Life’s Treasures.”   Hosted at the Arlington County Central Library on Saturday, February 6^th from 2 to 3:30 p.m., the event will feature fun for all ages. Join in the fun and take a moment to enjoy the simple pleasures in life, good food, good music and good company. 

Frank Cassel, “The Banjo Man,” and Rich Bailey, park naturalist and Euphonium player extraordinaire, will entertain with live music. The “Jazzy Juggler” will wow the crowd while naturalists will show live animals and share simple tricks for identifying and understanding animals and plants in Northern Virginia.  Games, stories, crafts and other activities will round out the afternoon and engage almost any interest.
