The following rules apply to conduct within campgrounds owned and operated by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. Violation of any of these rules may subject the violator to ejection from the park. 

 

 
1.
 

A reservation confirmation will be issued to one adult who will become the group representative thru the entire event. All contact between the group and park staff shall be handled by the group representative. Once a confirmation is issued the cancellation and change rules are in effect. 

2.
  Cancellation ten (10) days in advance of the reservation date entitles you to a refund less 25% or $20, whichever is greater. No refund will be issued for a cancellation with less than ten (10) days advance notice
3.
  Group camping reservations are not refundable and dates are not transferable due to inclement weather. 
4.
  A $25 fee will be charged for requests that result in any changes of the reservation, with a minimum of ten (10) days notice prior to the rental date. No changes will be allowed for reservations made less than ten (10) days from the scheduled reservation date.
5.
  Check-in and check-out is noon.
6.
  Group leaders must check in at the camp center. All scout groups are required to follow scouting regulations regarding tour permits or non-council permits.
7.
  Group leaders must assure that supervision of at least one adult per ten children is provided.
8.
  Firewood is not supplied and groups are not permitted to gather firewood within the park.
9.
  Do NOT cut trees and bushes (live or dead), nor dig, trench or level sites for any purpose.
10.
  Fires must be contained in the fire rings provided.
11.
  ALL vehicles must be kept in designated parking areas. Please do not park or drive any vehicle on the grass.
12.
  Campers shall keep their site clean and orderly at all times and shall place garbage in the proper containers.
13.
  Comfort stations should be inspected periodically by group leaders to ensure proper use and cleanliness.
14.
  All pets must be kept on a leash or otherwise restrained.
15.
  It is a violation of state health regulations to allow dishwater to be drained or emptied onto the campground. Dishwater must be emptied into the sewage dumping stations provided in front of the camp center. Please do not use comfort stations for dishwashing purposes.
16.
  The park closes at dark, with the exception of comfort station use, group campers must then remain in their designated areas.
17.
  Group camping is permitted in the park year-round by reservation only. However, those wishing to camp from the third weekend in November through the third weekend in March must provide their own portable toilet facilities (one toilet per 100 campers).

Swimming and wading from the shoreline is prohibited.

19.
  Groups over 150 campers will be required to have special permission from the park manager.
