Introductin to Geology: Lecture

Participants will learn the basics of geology, including rock and mineral identification, geologic time, fossils, and landforms of the United States. Program includes slide show, a first-hand examination of Potomac Overlook’s excellent rock, mineral and fossil collection, and a short walk to look for fossils. Presented by Martin Ogle, Chief naturalist, Northern Virginia Regional park Authority.
