Birds And Migration
09/11/2010 07:00 AM to 09/11/2010
This is a follow up to our spring migratory bird walk. Spend a morning with a naturalist learning about the “hows” and whys” of migration. The group will hike with binoculars scoping out the huge diversity of birds that fly through in mid-fall. Highlights include warblers, vireos, thrushes and others that we rarely see otherwise in our urban environment! Many will be in fall-plumage, which often presents an added challenge to successful identification. Recommended for adults and children ages 12 and up.
